Job Description
This is a full-time opportunity for a Project Manager of Fiber Over Build Wireline OSP based in Dallas TX. This role supports large-scale fiber overbuild projects for a major telecom client managing wireline Outside Plant construction operations and field teams across active build markets.
This is a fast-track career opportunity for an experienced wireline OSP professional who wants to step into a leadership role managing major fiber overbuild programs. You will oversee construction managers and QC supervisors while serving as a key point of contact for client operations. This role offers long-term growth strong compensation and the chance to lead high-impact fiber expansion projects.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10 years of experience in Telecommunications or Utility Construction/Maintenance
- Wireline OSP background (wireless experience alone is not acceptable)
- Experience managing Fiber Overbuild projects
- Experience managing Construction Managers and QC Supervisors
- Valid drivers license (CDL a plus)
- Ability to read prints and interpret utility maps
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word Excel Google applications and construction-related software
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees
- Ability to maintain a safe work environment
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience operating utility trucks and equipment
- Experience using hand tools and field equipment
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and restoration crews
- Strong customer-facing and leadership skills
What You Will Be Doing
- Manage a team of Construction Managers and QC Supervisors for Fiber Over Build projects
- Direct coordinate dispatch train inspect and monitor employees and subcontractors
- Ensure proper placement and repair of cable and restorations according to contract and process specifications
- Ensure all safety quality and production goals are met
- Participate in daily and weekly calls with operations teams and customers
- Resolve customer and operational complaints
- Maintain positive working relationships internally and externally
- Perform other duties as required
