Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Automation / E&I Engineer to design implement and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems as well as automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency safety and reliability. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with PLCs SCADA systems and industrial instrumentation in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design install and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems for industrial equipment and processes.
- Develop and troubleshoot automation systems including PLCs HMIs and SCADA platforms.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes safety standards and industry regulations.
- Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions for electrical and control system failures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize process control and automation strategies.
- Manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs for E&I assets.
- Support commissioning and startup of new equipment and automation projects.
- Maintain accurate documentation including wiring diagrams loop sheets and control logic.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Instrumentation Automation or related field preferred.
- 3 years of experience in industrial E&I and automation engineering.
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g. Siemens Allen-Bradley) HMI development and SCADA systems.
- Strong understanding of industrial sensors actuators VFDs and control loops.
- Familiarity with NEC ISA and other relevant standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience in hazardous area classification and intrinsic safety.
Project management and budgeting experience.
Ability to train and mentor technicians and junior engineers.
