The Facilities Maintenance Technician must provide exceptional customer service and work A2 shift 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. 3 by 4 rotating schedule. Day required to work are Sunday Monday Tuesday and alternating Wednesday.
Role and Responsibilities Inspects completed work for performance with requirements of local building and safety codes
Performs routine maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on buildings for manufacturing facilities.
-Must be able to address issues such as leaks electrical outages plumbing or HVAC inefficiencies
- Will monitor systems such as heating ventilation air conditioning and alarms.
-Ensures fire safety systems are functional and compliant
-Keep records of daily inspections and have the ability to understand building maintenance system
-Paint patch walls and assists with office moves or furniture repairs and flooring maintenance
- Coordinate with contractors and outside service providers
Prioritizes daily activities and work order scheduling.
Keeps management informed on progress and delays of all preventive maintenance work orders related jobs and other repair activities to ensure good customer service.
Interacts courteously with the staff vendors and public; maintains effective working relationships
Creates P.O.s PRs for materials and supplies using established guidelines and procedures as required.
Participates in safety training and meetings and uses safe working practices at all times.
Responds to emergencies as requests activities and repairs.
Inspects completed work for performance with requirements of local building and safety codes.
-Must have a reliable car and a valid drivers license. Driving between buildings is required.
Executes on additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
5 years equivalent of proven facilities experience
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to work efficiently with cross functional team
Ability to multitask and have the ability to manage multiple projects at a time.
Ability to understand and resolve facilities issues independently
Good computer and communication skills (written verbal and active listening)
Highly motivated self-starter capable of self-management with little to no oversight
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to establish effective cross-functional working relationships
Strong requirement to have knowledge of MS Office including Power Point Excel and Word
