As a Project Engineer you will lead the development and execution of capital projects as well as support plant engineering needs. You will develop and lead project teams which may include internal partners outside engineering resources suppliers contractors and regulatory personnel. You will work with a variety of departments to develop business propositions and executive summaries for capital projects which drive and increase in company value.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring compliance with safety sanitation and government regulations
Leading project team members through the execution of capital projects with the objective of meeting the project success criteria.
Responsible for budget and expenses control of capital projects assigned
Providing clear communication and direction to project team members and updates to project stakeholders.
Providing guidance with the development of specifications capital equipment and the selection of vendors and contractors.
Providing technical advice and assistance as required to sustain production capacity and capabilities.
Assisting in cross-training efforts to help develop partners skills in other functional areas of engineering (i.e. Utilizing EPM Enterprise Project Management tools)
Working with cross functional teams to develop business propositions and executive summaries which support company growth and profitability.
Investigate evaluate and implement new or improved technology/methods that may improve capability capacity and overall profitability.
Assist the plant team leadership with requests as required (upper management meetings personnel technical reviews lead engineering sessions advisory help customer visits etc.)
Together with the leadership team ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits PCPs CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.
Knowledge of web platform Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar
Read and interpret electric mechanical construction and utility design documents and drawings.
Knowledge and design of mechanical hydraulic and pneumatic processes within a production environment.
Good understanding of the three MEP disciplines of construction:
Basic to medium understanding of main utility systems in manufacturing facility
Key Ingredients:
Bachelors degree in civil engineering or architecture (Mechanical electrical electronics or industrial engineering degrees can works if meets with the general responsibilities mentioned above)
5 to 7 years of experience in handling major capital projects
Experience in coordinating projects and project management tools
Ability to function in a team environment
End-user computer skills
Industrial experience in civil engineering preferred
Intermediate English required
Knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and 3D
