Job Summary
Our NielsenIQ Technology teams are working on our new Discover platform a unified global open data ecosystem powered by Microsoft Azure. Our clients around the world rely on NielsenIQs data and insights to innovate and grow.
As an Engineer youll be part of a team of smart highly skilled technologists who are passionate about learning and prototyping cutting-edge technologies. Right now our platform is Java Spring Boot Angular Mongo Postgres and Snowflake and we continue to adopt the best of breed in cloud-native low-latency technologies. Responsibilities
- Write complex maintainable code to develop scalable flexible and user-friendly applications using Python and FastAPI cloud Architecture
- Design and develop highly available low latency cloud-native applications
- Mentor team members
- Participate in full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of our Analytic applications - conceptualize design develop test and deploy
Qualifications :
- 3 or more years of applicable software engineering experience
- Strong fundamentals with experience in back-end object-oriented programming including proficiency in Python FastAPI
- Strong experience in integrating Restful APIs microservices architecture
- Good experience in MQ integration Rabbit/Apache Kafka/equivalent
- Hands-on experience in unit testing code coverage toole junit Mockito sonar or equivalent
- Hands-on experience in instrumentation to tools like Graylog/DataDog/ELK/Splunk/equivalent
- Experience in Jenkins integration jobs in Jenkins for build deploy test coverage scripts
- Experience in any DB Experience in writing sqls is must
- Have a passion and energy for learning and improving
- Excellent English communication skills with the ability to effectively interface across cross-functional technology teams and the business
- Minimum B.S. degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering or related field
