SPR Laboratory Supervisor

Role purpose

• Responsible for timely result of Thailand Pollen Projects- Pollen Quantification and Pollen Viability.
• Take charge of all post-harvest operation projects and laboratory management. Coordinate for PPT seed shipment materials and inputs inventories monitoring. Support in time data consolidation for Corn & Sweetcorn.
• To conduct seed safety study coordinate work with seed care and QA for treatment study update result and analysis report.

Accountabilities

• Deliver results for pollen quantification and viability for TH as request for Corn & Sweetcorn.
• Ensures all inventories (inputs seeds office and laboratory supplies etc) are well updated and managed.
• Coordinate with R&D and parent seed for preparing good quality and seed treatment for seeds production research field trials.
• Support data analysis as timely consolidation of data coming from fields as per schedule.
• Monitor Seed Quality testings and data results as per schedule.
• Ensures correct seed preparations and packing for each planting schedules as per trial plans.
• Ensures all laboratory equipments are in good condition preventive maintenance are on tract supplies and materials are readily available and other consumables are within range before expirations.
• Supports teams procurement requirements such as quotation.
• Supports the drying sensitivity and processing technology requirements once needed (processing projects)
• Extends field works for pollen projects such as tassel collecting etc..
• Ensure compliance with HSE laboratory documentations right PPEs to be worn inside the laboratory. Proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals
• Maintain over-all sanitation and HSE within the laboratory

Qualifications :

Knowledge experience & capabilities

• Seed production physiology and technology knowledge.
• Experiences to work involving corn and sweet corn are preference.
• Experimental design and statistical analysis skill.
• Graduated Bachelors Degree in Agriculture or bio technology
• At least 0-3 years experiences for corn production corn research and/or experiment trial Management.
• Data interpretation statistical analysis and presentation skill.
• Good computer skill including Microsoft office Internet etc.
• Fair for English communication both speaking and writing.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF THE ESSENTIAL FUNCTION

• Ability to work days evenings and weekends.
• Must be able to travel by car or plane.
• Ability to operate standard office equipment including phone fax copier and computer.

WORKING CONDITIONS WHILE PERFORMING ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• 70%of work performed in Laboratory and office.
• 30% of work performed in field locations or meetings.
