Food Safety & Hygiene Officer - Hotel
The primary responsibility of this role is work closely with food handling departments and the Quality & Sustainability Manager to oversee and implement food safety and hygiene standards in all our food outlets to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain high-quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of food production processes facilities and equipment to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Train and educate employees on food safety and hygiene practices including proper handling storage and disposal of food products.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of food safety programs and make recommendations for improvement as needed.
- Investigate food safety incidents complaints and non-conformities and develop corrective and preventive actions to address issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production quality assurance and regulatory affairs to ensure seamless implementation of food safety initiatives.
- Stay informed about changes in food safety regulations and industry trends and ensure that our practices are up to date and compliant.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to food safety activities inspections and training sessions.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Food Science Food Safety Microbiology or a related field. A masters degree is preferred.
- Previous work experience in Qatar is preferred.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g. HACCP ServSafe) is required.
- Proven experience in a food safety or quality assurance role within the hospitality industry preferably in a supervisory capacity.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations standards and quality management systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train and educate employees at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to assess risks identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
