The Assembly Supervisor will lead a high-performing team inside and outside a controlled cleanroom environment. This role is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production cycle including precision assembly and complex disassembly processes. The ideal candidate is a leader of people who balances technical cleanroom expertise with the ability to drive performance through metrics and a customer-first mindset.
Pay Rate: $40/ hour
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead mentor and develop a diverse team of assembly technicians fostering a culture of accountability safety and continuous improvement.
- Cleanroom Operations: Oversee daily production within the cleanroom ensuring strict adherence to environmental controls gowning protocols and contamination prevention standards.
- Process Management: Manage both the precision assembly of new components and the technical disassembly/de-manufacturing processes.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as throughput yield and quality rates to ensure production goals are met.
- Critical Conversations: Proactively manage team performance and conflict by having direct professional and critical conversations to maintain high standards and morale.
- Customer Focus: Ensure all final products meet or exceed customer specifications and quality standards maintaining a sense of urgency for client deadlines.
- Analytical Problem Solving: Use data-driven insights to identify bottlenecks and implement Lean or Six Sigma methodologies to optimize workflows.
Qualifications :
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing leadership role with at least 3 years of hands-on experience working in a cleanroom environment; ISO Class 5-8. (Required)
- Education: Bachelors degree in engineering Operations Management or a related technical field (preferred).
- Leadership: Proven track record of managing teams including performance management hiring and technical training.
- Technical Skills: Deep understanding of cleanroom protocols and precision assembly/disassembly techniques.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret production data create reports and make informed decisions based on metrics.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the emotional intelligence required for difficult personnel or operational conversations.
