Programme Lead Employability

Salary:29000 per annum
Location:Glasgow and Inverclyde ( the position will cover both areas)
Contract/Hours:Permanent Full Time- 37 hours (Mon-Friday- 9am-5pm 4.30pm finish on a Friday)

Position closes Wednesday 18th February

Interviews will be held in person on 24th February

A bit abouttherole

Our Employability service providessupportto young people aged 16-24 who have a range of barriers or needs to make positive choices for their future. By delivering a range of employability personal development sector specific programmes and one to one support you will work with the team in Glasgow and Inverclyde to support young people to achieve a positive destination within employment training or education.

As a ProgrammeLead youll be:

  • Participating in the design and planning and lead on the implementation of programmes including delivery ensuring that they are compatible with the objectives of the funding and young peoples needs
  • Managing a caseload of young people to support them into a suitable positive destination (employment training or further education) and provide aftercare support to ensure sustainment.
  • Providing direct and overall line management of 4 staff applying appropriate policies and procedures also sharing knowledge and experience through coaching and mentoring techniques.
  • Nurturing developing and promoting effective relationships and channels of communication with colleagues community organisational partner agencies and other external agencies.

Our job description for theProgrammeLeadoutlines the requirements of the role but the must-haves are:

  • A management qualification or experience of line managing staff and/or a specific project/programme.
  • Experience of designing and delivering group work sessions with young people facing multiple barriers.
  • Experience working in a project management approach planning and monitoring work programme in line with key milestones and targets.
  • The ability to engage colleagues agencies community groups and wider networks to deliver positive outcomes.
  • Experience and the ability to understand the barriers facing young people
  • Strong planning IT and administration skills.
  • To have a suitable means of transport to enable the duties of the role to be carried out effectively.
