The Role:
We are looking for an experienced leader to strengthen and elevate our process control capability in a high-tech manufacturing environment. This role is critical to improving process stability reducing variation and supportingworld-class manufacturing and quality standards for advanced semiconductor customers.
You will work closely with Manufacturing Process Engineering Equipment Facilities Quality and IT teams todesign deploy and sustain robust process control processes and systems while driving data-driven decisionmaking across the factory.
In this role you will:
1. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Training
- Collaborate with Process Equipment Manufacturing Facilities Quality and IT teams to develop and enhance a data driven process control focused culture across the facility.
- Provide process control and statistical training and coaching to engineers and operators to strengthen problem-solving and data literacy.
- Support process control- and quality-related reports and customer or internal audits when required.
2. Process Control Process and System Design & Deployment
- Design configure and optimize process control charts and monitoring strategies aligned with process characteristics.
- Establish and maintain effective control rules to ensure process stability and early detection of abnormal conditions.
- Monitor system performance and continuously improve monitoring effectiveness.
- Partner with IT and system teams to implement automated data collection analysis and alert mechanisms.
3. Statistical Analysis & Process Improvement
- Perform statistical analyses including process capability studies trend analysis and variation source identification.
- Support manufacturing and process engineering teams in interpreting process control signals and developing corrective actions.
- Lead or support DOE and other statistical methodologies to improve yield and process robustness.
4. Out-of-Control Action Plan (OCAP) Management
- Develop implement and maintain OCAP procedures to ensure timely and effective response to abnormal process behavior.
- Track and analyze out-of-control events to verify proper containment corrective and preventive actions.
- Drive preventive improvements to minimize recurrence of process deviations.
5. Continuous Improvement & Advanced Analytics
- Champion Six Sigma Lean or continuous improvement projects. - Evaluate and apply advanced analytics such as predictive models or data-driven monitoring techniques to improve process performance.
Traits we believe make a strong candidate:
Required
- Bachelors degree or above in Engineering Statistics Applied Mathematics or a related discipline.
- 8 years of experience in SPC statistical analysis or process control within manufacturing environments discrete manufacturing a plus.
- Strong knowledge of process control methodologies OCAP process capability analysis and DOE.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and translate data insights into practical actions.
Preferred
- Experience in semiconductor chemical or high-tech manufacturing industries.
- Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification.
- Experience with automated SPC systems data platforms or advanced analytics tools.
Your success will be measured by:
- Improved process stability and reduced variation reflected in stronger SPC performance and capability metrics.
- Building a strong data driven continuous improvement culture.
- Effective SPC system deployment with timely detection and response to abnormal process behavior.
- Consistent and well-executed OCAPs resulting in fewer repeat out-of-control events.
- Tangible yield and quality improvements driven by sound statistical analysis and DOE.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and increased SPC competency across teams.
