Job Summary

Incentives and Bonuses

Duties

  • Manages schedules and executes work to accomplish banquet events. Creates room diagrams for planned events.
  • Assigns work to subordinate staff in setting up of attractive creative and imaginative buffet tables and ensures duties are completed as required within budget parameters for event.
  • Performs client contact during functions monitors satisfaction last minute changes and special requests; reports all pertinent information to the supervisor and recommends operational improvements as necessary for future events.
  • Performs the full range of supervisory functions to include hiring training performance evaluation recommends reward and recognition discipline work and leave schedules.
  • Oversight of catering fleet of vehicles.

  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • This position is dual compensation exempt; All GS and NAF employees holding FLEX positions are eligible to apply for this position.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekdays weekends holidays and night duty.
  • Must be able to obtain a Military Drivers license.
  • Medical examination required.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.

Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicants relevant experience skills knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
1. One year of work experience directly related to the duties described above with Banquets Special Events Administrative duties and Customer Service.
2. Supervisory experience is required.
3. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
4. Must have a valid New York State drivers license.

This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position.

In addition to the above qualifications candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered Highly Preferred or Best Qualified:

1. Prior hospitality experience in restaurants and/or catered events.

The experience must be reflected on your resume at the time of application to be considered a highly preferred candidate.

PCS Costs

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances cost of living (COLA) and differentials will not be paid contingent upon eligibility.
