Job Summary
Summary
This position is located at MWR Pililaau Army Recreation Center in Waianae Hawaii on the island of Oahu.
Incentives and Bonuses
- Incentives will not be paid.
- Responsible for management control and efficient operation of a Recreational Lodging operation.
- Responsible for the front office housekeeping and maintenance functions. Conducts surveys and studies to ensure that services and facilities meet the needs cleanliness and desire of patrons.
- Implements new policies or innovative promotions that increase occupancy rate deliver quality guest service and maintain the required level of profitability. Develops and implements strategies/procedures to ensure safety and security of occupants.
- Maintains oversight all facets of business operations to include financial operations: development execution of Non-appropriated Fund operating budgets Capital Purchase Minor Construction (CPMC) budgets Appropriated Fund (APF) expenditures.
- Reviews/analyzes monthly financial operations ensuring integrity of financial transactions and procurement management. Directs the preparation and execution of all reports required by higher authority.
Conditions of employment

- Local travel is required in the commuting area.
- This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required.
- Must possess and maintain a valid States Drivers license.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:
- Progressively responsible management experience in hospitality operations with knowledge of funding streams and demonstrated work experience developing and executing budgets and marketing.
- Ability to supervise a diverse workforce.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Deals effectively with subordinates management officials and patrons.
- Ability to use a computer and various Microsoft Office software.
- Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license.
HIGH QUALIFICATION CRITERIA:
- Must have at least 3 years of experience in lodging hospitality or other relevant operations.
- Must have 1 year in retail operations.
- Must have 1 year of supervisory experience.
