Pay Rate: $58$63 per hour
Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a qualified and motivated X-Ray Technician to join a fast-paced clinical environment in New York NY. This contract opportunity is ideal for both new graduates and early-career professionals. The X-Ray Technician will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety comfort and strict adherence to regulatory and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare patients for radiologic procedures by explaining exams addressing concerns and positioning patients correctly
Operate radiologic imaging equipment and adjust exposure settings to achieve optimal diagnostic image quality
Apply radiation safety principles including proper shielding and beam restriction
Maintain compliance with infection control policies and safety protocols
Review radiographic images for accuracy and quality; repeat or adjust images as necessary
Accurately document procedures and patient information in medical records
Perform routine equipment checks preventive maintenance and report equipment issues promptly
Manage and monitor radiology supplies and anticipate departmental needs
Maintain professional competency through continuing education and regulatory compliance
Complete annual Age-Specific Competency requirements
Collaborate effectively with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
New York State Department of Health Licensed Radiologic Technologist (L.R.T)
ARRT Certification (Required)
Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented clinical setting
High attention to detail with a strong commitment to patient safety
