Job Title: Threat Intelligence Analyst
Location: 6315 Bren Mar Drive Alexandria VA 22312
Summary: This program supports services by providing continuous watch briefing and analytical support for the customers Operations Center and Incident Management System. The effort delivers 24/7 situational awareness through the monitoring analysis synthesis and dissemination of operational intelligence and incident-related information impacting federally protected facilities nationwide. Contractor support includes producing executive-level briefings daily and emergent reports geospatial and data-driven products and coordinating information flow across the regions DHS components and interagency partners. The program operates in both classified and unclassified environments and is designed to support steady-state operations special events emergencies and incident response ensuring the customer leadership has timely accurate and actionable information to support mission-critical decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making policy formulation or other managerial functions
- Collect and analyze data and develop decision support software service or products
- Develop and supply optimal time cost or logistics networks for program evaluation review or implementation
- Participate in the Open-Source Threat Intelligence Program
- Monitors open sources to identify potential threats to federal facilities
- Supports regional special event open-source information needs
- Coordinate conveyance of threat information to PIID leadership SWO and appropriate regional leadership in accordance with investigative policies
- Comply with DHS and programs policies regarding privacy and civil liberties
- Monitor open sources to identify information meeting PIRs and CCIRs
- Coordinate reporting of PIR and CCIR data to Executive Leadership Team (ELT) in accordance with the reporting procedures
- Prepare the Daily Intelligence Review Bulletin
- Access law enforcement and intelligence systems to review intelligence information and identify relevant topics for the ELT 0830 briefing
- Draft the Daily Intelligence Review Bulletin for PIID Director Review NLT 0730
- Brief out the DIRB to the ELT at the daily 0830-hour briefing
- Finalizes and releases the DIRB daily NLT 1000 hour
- Support field requests for information and law enforcement system checks
- Maintain access to the following systems: LEIMS TECS WebRMS EIS TAVISS HSIN DCII Accurint HSDN and JWICS
- Gather requested information package appropriately and convey the information to the requestor and appropriate IAIB and IB Desk Officers
- Document RFI/LE system checks for the purposes of metrics/performance management
- Contribute to Critical Incident Management
- Gather information on critical incidents (as identified by the SWO and ELT) in coordination with the SWO taking the lead on intelligence data gathering
- Correlate and coordinate information with reporting from other DHS watch centers intelligence/LE systems and databases for incorporation into reporting
- Assist the SWO and other personnel in preparing and disseminating critical incident reports to the ELT and other senior leaders
- Ensure compliance with security classification and sensitive information handling requirements
- Conduct research and data management in support of PIID analytic production and other agency needs
- Use the systems to gather analyze and report data regarding customers operational activities
- Collaborate with PIID IAIB and IB Desk Officers in identifying trends in threats criminal activities and operational impacts
- Generate data briefings reports and products for HQs as required
- Assist in developing and drafting PIID intelligence and information reports in accordance with the RISP directive
Requirements:
- Candidate should have 5 years of experience
- Must possess BA/BS or MA/MS degree
- Active Top-Secret Clearance is a must
