Job Summary

Duties

  • Oversees the accomplishment of work and evaluates park and recreation activities for pool and fitness operations.
  • Leads staff as required in the performance of their duties by providing coaching directing mentoring training monitoring and evaluating.
  • Enforces and carries out policy and requirements.
  • Keeps manager informed of events or items of significance.
  • Responsible for the safeguarding and protection of funds property and personnel.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3 para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation to include childcare checks.
  • Successfully complete all required background checks. All local background checks will be re-verified every 5 years.
  • Successful completion of a pre-hire physical is required. Must maintain peak physical condition. An annual health screening will be required throughout employment.
  • Must be able to work a schedule that may include working some nights weekends and possible holidays.

Qualifications

Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicants relevant experience skills knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:

  • Twelve months of work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed.
  • Must have a current pool operators license; lifeguard instructor certification AED CPR oxygen administration and First Aid certification.
  • Must be able to use sound judgment accomplish tasks within established timeframes and possess good people skills requiring the ability to communicate in a clear concise and grammatically correct manner.
  • Must have experience with office functions such as preparing and managing reports.
Highly Preferred Criteria:
  • Water Safety Instructor Certification

Allowances and Differentials
  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances cost of living (COLA) and differentials will not be paid contingent upon eligibility.
