Finning Canada is looking for passionate and field experienced Journeyperson Electricians (Red Seal preferred) to join our Integrated Mining Team (IMT). The Journeyperson Electricians on our Integrated Mining Team are responsible for the troubleshooting maintenance and repair of a variety of heavy electrical and power generation equipment throughout British Columbia and Yukon Mining Industries. Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- Service troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and power generation equipment
- Service and troubleshoot electronic controls PLCs HMIs and electrical switchgear
- Build construct and test electrical panels
- Load test power generation equipment
- Assist in fulfilling our customer service commitment
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Electrician Certification (Red Seal preferred)
- FSRA or FSRB credential would be considered an asset
- Power Generation experience would be considered an asset
- Generator Rebuild experience would be considered an asset
- Heavy Duty Mechanical experience or certification would be considered an asset
- Team player capable of working with minimal supervision in challenging conditions
- Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational interpersonal and communication skills with a high attention to detail
- Valid drivers license with a successful recent drivers abstract
Important Details:
- This is a 7 x 7 Continuous Shift
- A condition of employment is the ability to obtain Customer Site Access (Drug & Alcohol screening and ability to wear a respirator)
- Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement. Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
