Job Summary
The Insurance Coverage Defense Attorney will manage complex coverage matters from pre-suit analysis through litigation. This role offers significant responsibility client interaction and courtroom exposure. Ideal for an attorney seeking long-term growth hands-on litigation experience and advancement toward partnership.
Responsibilities
- Handle first-party property and third-party liability coverage disputes from pre-suit through resolution
- Conduct policy analysis and provide coverage opinions
- Manage EUOs depositions mediations and hearings
- Draft pleadings motions and coverage position letters
- Collaborate with partners and team members on litigation strategy
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding case status and risk assessment
- Manage multiple active matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- 27 years of insurance coverage defense experience
- Strong background in first-party property coverage disputes
- Excellent legal research writing and oral advocacy skills
- Experience drafting pleadings motions and coverage analysis documents
- Active Texas bar admission required
