The Role
Providing strategic and operational leadership of the Science department
Teaching your specialist science subject across KS3 and KS4 with KS5 depending on experience
Leading curriculum development assessment and quality assurance across Biology Chemistry and Physics
Line managing and supporting staff including mentoring and performance development
Driving consistently high standards of teaching learning and pupil outcomes
Contributing to whole-school improvement and leadership initiatives
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in a Science-related subject
Proven experience teaching Science across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
Demonstrable leadership experience within a Science department
Strong curriculum knowledge and a track record of excellent outcomes
The ability to inspire support and challenge colleagues effectively
A professional organised and forward-thinking leadership approach
