Senior DevOps Engineer to Quinyx

About the role
At Quinyx were building the next generation of developer and platform capabilities that power our global workforce management product. Our mission is simple: make development fast reliable and enjoyable while ensuring our systems are secure scalable and resilient.
Were now looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who can help us build a new internal developer platform from the ground up and enable our engineering teams to move faster with less operational friction.
Youll join our Platform department working closely with a small but skilled team consisting of one Staff Engineer one DevOps Engineer and two Senior DevOps Engineers.
The team has strong capability and experience but much of todays work involves manual steps and legacy patterns. Were looking for someone who has been part of this transformation before can introduce more automated ways of working and help the team see what a modern platform can look like.
What youll do
Youll play a key role in defining and building our new internal developer platform. This involves creating the frameworks tooling automation and best practices that empower developers to own more of their operational lifecycle reducing overhead increasing autonomy and enabling fast safe delivery.
Youll collaborate closely with development backend and platform teams shaping workflow improvements and driving modern DevOps and platform engineering practices across the company. More specifically you will:
Design and build automation and self-service frameworks to streamline delivery
Improve reliability scalability and developer experience
Collaborate with engineers to evolve our DevOps and platform capabilities
Drive best practices in CI/CD IaC and observability
Optimize and further develop the established cloud environment
Design and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS with a focus on performance security and optimization
What were looking for
Prior experience building internal developer platforms tooling or frameworks that enable developer self-service
Deep experience in CI/CD and cloud infrastructure
Proficiency in scripting (Python Go or Bash)
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or containerized environments
Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
Understanding of security concepts such as Identity and Access Management (IAM) vulnerability scanning and network security
Experience building and maintaining build/deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions)
Solid understanding of observability tooling (logs metrics alerts dashboards)
If you also have the following we consider it a plus:
Experience with microservice architectures and service meshes (e.g. Istio)
GitOps methodology
A passion for automation developer productivity and continuous improvement
To be successful in the role we see that you have a very good ability to communicate solutions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are naturally proactive structured and comfortable taking initiative. You foster a collaborative mindset and have a willingness to influence and guide others.
