THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST (Title 32) Position Description Number Dand is part of the IL 182 AW National Guard.
As GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST (Title 32) GS-2001-7/9 you will provide centralized oversight of critical squadron programs. Measures LRS processes through inventory analysis surveillance trends and standards develops and writes local policy/procedures and performs over the shoulder inspections. Also responsible for all funds management functions including satellite stock fund management in support of unit mission.

AREA OF CONSIDERATION: The areas of consideration for this position Title 32 Excepted Service (32 U.S. Code 709) will be in the following manner and sequence:
Military Grades: Enlisted Only - Minimum rank requirement of SSgt & May not exceed the rank of MSgt.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-09 Level - MUST possess specialized experience which includes 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Demonstrated ability researching documents or other resources to coordinate inventory requirements. Knowledge of stock levels inventory shipping receiving requisitioning and requirements of supplies and equipment. Experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment. Knowledge of supply management cataloging maintenance and disposal procedures. Experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports letters memoranda etc. Demonstrated experience with cost estimates budgets or funding management. Experience conducting extensive and exhaustive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for supply activities. GS-07 Level - MUST possess specialized experience which includes experience education or training involving administration of supply management storage cataloging packaging and distribution or other work which provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies knowledge and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience including volunteer experience.

If you are using Education to qualify for this position successful completion of a masters degree or equivalent graduate degree or two full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree from an accredited college or university meets the GS-9 qualification requirements. An LL.B. or J.D. may also satisfy the GS-9 requirements if the coursework is directly related to the position. Successful completion of one full year of graduate-level education from an accredited college or university meets the GS-7 qualification requirements. A bachelors degree with Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) also meets the GS-7 qualification requirements.
