THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST (TITLE 32) Position Description Number NGD2783000 and is part of the TN 134th ARW Air National Guard.
This vacancy is covered by Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT) Chapter 114 (Smoky Mountain Chapter).
As a GENERAL SUPPLY SPECIALIST GS you will perform developmental assignments of moderately difficult and complex nature consisting of well-precedented tasks designed to orient the employee in the application of General Supply programs and activities. Perform recurring assignments. Independently performs work assignments which gradually increase in difficulty and complexity. Carry out special projects and participate in special initiatives and studies. Performs special assignments in support of the organization; e.g. researching policy and comparing new or modified guidelines to assess impact; analyzing and providing substantive evaluation of data affecting program operations; developing reports and briefings outlining study findings and recommendations; preparing and coordinating reference papers and documentation to support project initiatives; presenting reports to a variety of audiences; and providing recommendations to resolve issues. Prepare written correspondence and other documentation. Draft or prepare a variety of documents to include newsletter items responses to routine inquiries reports letters and other related documents. Perform other duties as assigned.
Military Grades: E-3 through E-7
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must have experience or training involving administration of supply management storage cataloging packaging and distribution or other work which provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer automation and systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 24 months specialized experience or 1-year specialized experience at least the next lower grade demonstrating ability to research documents or other resources to coordinate inventory requirements. Knowledge of stock levels inventory shipping receiving requisitioning and requirements of supplies and equipment. Experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment. Knowledge of supply management cataloging maintenance and disposal procedures. Experience which requires person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports letters memoranda etc.. Demonstrated experience with cost estimates budgets or funding management. Experience conducting extensive and exhaustive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for supply activities
