Mobile Medicine Facilities Safety Specialist

Pay Range

What Youll Do:

• Facilitates safety committee meetings.
• Provides risk identification process and risk management plan that includes a non-punitive system for employees to report hazards risks and safety concerns.
• Manages a system to track trend and mitigate errors or hazards.
• Reviews safety protocols annually and updates as needed.
• Facilitates ongoing safety training for all personnel.
• Coordinates with senior management on trends and occurrences.
• Facilitates the use of risk assessment tools.
• Facilitates safety drills and debriefings quarterly.
• Facilitates debriefings for any unusual occurrences to provide action plans evaluations and loop closure.
• Maintains current knowledge in industry safety standards.
• Conducts routine safety inspections and audits.
• Communicates safety related information to the team.
• Responsible for setting a strong example of safety by promoting a safe environment.

Physical Requirements

• Work in an office environment.
• Occasional travel to bases in personal vehicle may be required.
• Subject to indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.
• May be subject to hazards (i.e. chemicals mechanical parts etc.) and atmospheric conditions (i.e. fumes odors dusts etc.).

• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages culture developmental stages and special needs of the patient population served.

Protected Health Information

• Will limit access to protected health information (PHI) to the information reasonably necessary to do the job.
• Will share information only on a need-to-know basis for work purposes.
• Access to verbal written and electronic PHI for his job has been determined based on job level and job responsibility within the organization. Computerized access to PHI for this job has been determined as described above and is controlled by user ID and password.
