Secretary - St. Peters Hospital ED - Per Diem - Rotating Shift
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Secretary /Receptionist is responsible for coordinating the efficient flow patients and visitors through the Emergency Department. The Secretary/Receptionist greets all outpatients and visitors entering the Emergency Department and informs other staff of arrivals answers and relays all incoming telephone calls and maintains staff and patient schedules. Other tasks include but are not limited to general reception and clerical duties such as preparing patient charts for visits requesting and retrieving patient records filing and typing correspondence and reports. The Secretary/Receptionist is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all personal and clinical information of the patients served.

Education Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Experience Requirements:
1. Computer word processing skills - minimum of 55wpm required.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
3. Previous medical office reception or clerical experience preferred.
Pay Range - $17.25- $22.99
Pay is based on experience skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
