TheLegislative AccountabilityCoordinator(LAC) will spend approximately18weeksat20hours per weekmonitoringlegislative activitytrackinglawmaker actions andcompiling legislative votes duringthe legislative processin AK HI ID IN KY and roletracks and reviewsvoting records bill sponsorship public statements and committee actionson issues relevant to Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates policies and positions. The LACwill work under the supervision of the Public Policy Manager withadditionalguidance from thePPAAState Directors and the Vice President of Policy & StrategyWhatsin it for you:TheLegislative AccountabilityCoordinator(LAC)will receive training and on-the-ground experiencewithlegislativetrackingpublic inPlanned ParenthoodAllianceAdvocatespublic affairs and electoral workcangain the skills to work for well-respected progressive non-profit addition to being aleadership development opportunityto develop research skills and legislative processesLACis a paid positionQualifications:Commitment and desire tosupportreproductiveand LGBTQ health and rightsWell-organizedself-motivated and high attention to detailFamiliarity with state legislative processes; experience trackingtrackinglocal state and/or federal legislation hearings and committee activitiesa plusUnderstanding of legislative processes and governmental structuresTeam player and good independent workerAbility to prepare clear data-driven andaccuratereports scorecards and dashboards for assessing legislator actionsDemonstrated ability to use discretion and work with sensitive informationProficiencyinMicrosoft Office including ExcelSalary Range:Non-exempt - $25 per Type: Temporary March to July - 18 weeks at 20 hours per weeks: including several nights and weekends. Access to a cell phone and laptop/computer are needed. This position can be done remotely. Preference for candidates located in Washington or Eligibility:This position is not eligible for PPGNHAIK benefits.
