Key Responsibilities (What Youre Doing)
- Pitch write and occasionally edit culture stories for ELLE across digital and print including daily news recaps explainers features and awards coverage
- Collaborate with editors to plan and execute coverage around weekly TV film music arts and book releases as well as major cultural moments and brand tentpoles
- Interview talent and help coordinate complementary social coverage
- Partner closely with the Senior Culture Editor SEO team and broader editorial network to optimize content strategy across platforms
- Build and maintain strong relationships with publicists studios labels publishers and talent representatives
- Attend industry events screenings and red carpets to report and generate timely coverage
Qualifications (What Were Looking For)
- Strong editorial judgment and clean engaging writing with a clear point of view
- A deep understanding of ELLEs voice audience and position in culture
- Demonstrated experience covering movies TV music books art or other entertainment-driven beats
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for spotting breaking news trends and emerging voices in culture
- Comfort working in CMS platforms and using digital tools including analytics platforms
- Ability to collaborate across teams while thriving in a fast-paced editorial environment
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed for coverage
- This role is based in New York City and operates on a hybrid schedule with four days per week in the office

The base salary for this role is between $67000 $75000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors such as: transferable skills work experience business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
