Job Summary:
The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech will be responsible for assisting in a variety of cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology procedures including angiograms stent implantations thrombectomies and more. The role requires participation in a call schedule including weeknights and weekends and demands a high level of skill and experience in a fast-paced environment.
Location:Rancho Mirage California United States
Responsibilities:
- Assist with right and left angiograms coronary stent implantation thrombectomy atherectomy and STEMI care.
- Perform balloon angioplasty PCI and stent procedures.
- Assist with Impella insertion left and right heart catheterization and rotablader procedures.
- Assist with interventional radiology procedures including stents angioplasty peripherals abdominal and pelvic procedures vascular studies and venous access.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and EKG readings.
- Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of equipment.
- Provide patient care and support throughout procedures.
- Answer unit phone and directs calls accordingly.
- Performs data entry into electronic medical database systems. Documents patient care and related duties appropriately.
- Performs selected patient registration activities.
- Coordinates equipment/supply needs. Notifies appropriate department of equipment malfunction.
- Performs any other related duties (e.g. clerical technical duties) as assigned.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cath Lab.
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification.
- ARRT certification.
- Flouro Permit.
- Cath Lab experience.
- EKG experience.
- Philips and PACS experience.
- COVID vaccine.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with interventional radiology procedures.
Special Considerations:
- Participation in a call schedule is required.
- One night call shift per week.
- One weekend call shift per month.
- Weeknights and weekends split between staff.
- Does not accept first time travelers
Scheduling:
- 3/12s shifts.
- Shift assignments to be determined.
