Supervisory Dietitian (Clinical Nutrition) are the expert in clinical nutrition and oversees a complex Clinical Nutrition Section which involves providing administrative and technical supervision of GS12 Dietitians and the oversight of the work of clinical dietitians at the GS-11 level and below. This position does offer a Recruitment/Relocation Incentive.

Duties include but not limited to:
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
Citizenship: Be a citizen of the United States (U.S.). Non-citizens may be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7407(a).
Registration: All applicants must hold the RDN credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) the credentialing agency of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
To qualify for GS 13:
Experience: One year of experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS 12-full performance level).
Knowledge Skills and Abilities: In addition to the experience above the candidate must demonstrate in their resume the following KSAs:- Skill in written communication to include policy development and standard operating procedures.- Skill in strategic planning to develop goals objectives and action plans.- Skill in analyzing data to monitor progress towards improving and sustaining outcomes.- Ability to negotiate.- Ability to supervise subordinate staff (i.e. plan organize delegate direct control and review activities and performance).
Grandfathering Provision: Applicants may be eligible based on grandfathering provisions.
Current VHA Dietitians that qualify based on being covered by the Grandfathering Provision may not be promoted to a higher grade if they do not meet the current RDN/RD requirements.
Preferred Experience: Three years experience supervising and leading a clinical nutrition team. Experience with enteral and parenteral nutrition support.
