The Pre-Wire position is responsible for forming conduit wiring labeling and debugging conveying equipment. Duties will include some control panel assembly. This position reports to the Fabrication Manager and will work closely with the Controls Engineering group. Responsibilities also include quality of workmanship productivity attendance/punctuality safety flexibility working without supervision and general housekeeping. Qualifications - Dedication to excellence and a quality output.
- Experience forming conduit wiring labeling and debugging conveying equipment.
- Experience building control panels a plus.
- Must be able to work independently accurately and efficiently.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.
- Familiarity with NEC a plus.
- The employee will supply all basic tools required to perform the responsibilities listed.
Responsibilities The following activities are required in this position: - Promote excellence throughout the department.
- Must be able to conduct themselves in a safe manner.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Run conduit wires label and test conveying equipment.
- Read electrical schematics and panel layout drawings with bills of materials.
- Become familiar with and assemble pneumatic and hydraulic components.
- Be familiar with construction and operation of shop equipment and maintain it.
- Continuous improvement is expected in all critical activities such as overall assembly quality safety and productivity.
- Work directly with engineering to sustain scheduled delivery.
- System test and sign-off before teardown and transfer.
- Interpretation of Customer specifications.
- Ownership of workmanship.
- Others as required by supervision.
Physical Requirements While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing walking bending kneeling stooping crouching crawling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
