Job Description Summary
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Infrastructure and Application Security Manager to build and manage a high-performing team to support cybersecurity and mission critical business domains. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise in infrastructure and application security technologies with a passion to mentor engineering talent.
CoreResponsibilities
Lead and manage security engineeringcrewof 510 direct reports.
Influence the designdevelopmentand optimization of infrastructure andapplicationsecurity solutions.
Engineer and deliver infrastructure and application security solutions to provide holistic coverage of internet edge (e.g.WAF Traffic mirroring AppSec hygiene Hardened App Stacks)
Demonstrate engineering excellence through continuous improvements with a focus on resiliencycostand security.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams todeliver onengineering outcomes and security goals.
Champion Agile/Scrum practices to ensuredeliveryexcellence.
Foster a collaborativeinclusiveand growth-oriented engineering culture.
Hire evaluate and supervise crew. Provide guidance and training as necessary to develop crew. Set performance standards review performance and make informed compensation decisionsin accordance withall applicable Human Resources policies and procedures.
Work closely with management to develop and implement staffing and operational plans. Effectivelyleveragevarious staffing options and manage a global workforce. Participate in the development ofshort and long termdepartment goals. Monitor and report on service delivery metrics and overall performance.
Present status metrics and department initiatives at meetings with management and project peers. Develop andmaintainrelationships with key stakeholders to provide long-term collaborations and deliver successful business outcomes.
Required Skills & Experience:
10 years of experience managing engineering teams in cybersecurity or mission critical business domains.
8 years of experience in cloud technologies especially Amazon Web Services (AWS).
In depthknowledge of infrastructure and security solutions with a deep technical understanding of security principles.
Experience with WAF Trafficmirroring AppSechygiene Hardened App Stacks.
Understanding of compute storage and networking concepts as applied in the cloud.
Experience with scripting languages and a SRE mindset.
Proven ability to mentor and grow engineering talent.
Knowledge of Azure and Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience. Graduate degree preferred
Preferred Certifications/Degree:
Undergraduate or Graduatedegree in Information Security or Cybersecurity or CISSP
AWS Certified Security / Advanced Networking / Solutions Architect
