Major Responsibilities:
Organizes and coordinates Labor Safety activities supervises compliance with legislative and normative legal acts on Labor safety in structural divisions conducts preventive work to prevent work related injuries occupational and industrial-related diseases measures to create healthy and safe conditions of work in the organization.
Organizes meetings on Labor safety and protection Labor Protection Day at the organisation at which issues falling within the competence of the labor protection service are discussed.
Manage and coordinate Labor Safety actions. Develop and implement Labor Safety procedures. Promote Labor Safety Culture.
Participate working processes development to mitigate possible risks.
Participates in the investigation of accidents and development of measures for their prevention.
Prepares draft orders and instructions on labor protection issues as well as proposals for improving the organization of work on labor protection. Monitors the implementation of orders orders prescriptions on labor protection issues as well as measures to eliminate the causes of accidents occupational diseases and accidents specified in the acts of investigation of these events.
Participates in the development of projects of regulatory documents rules standards and instructions for safe work. If necessary prepares proposals for their change and addition. Organizes the development of prospective and current work plans of WVI Ukraine for the creation of safe working conditions at enterprises.
Carries out operational methodical and consultative communication with industry departments of labor protection state supervision bodies trade unions other organizations on matters within the competence of the service.
Organizes the process of internal WVI Ukraine testing for Labor Safety knowledge of managers and chief specialists of all WVI units and participates in their work.
Monitors and provides methodical assistance to WVI Ukraine divisions in providing of labor protection offices equipping them with the necessary technical teaching aids educational and methodical literature posters information stands etc.
Ensures conducting introductory briefings supervises training internships and knowledge testing on Labor safety of the companys employees as well as maintenance of relevant documentation by department heads.
Organizes and supervises the correct maintenance of technical documentation provided for by standards rules and other normative documents on labor protection issues.
Manages environmental issues in accordance with current legislation and WVI policies interacts with the local environmental inspection prepares regulations and reports on environmental issues.
Promotes domestic and foreign experience of effective organization of Labor safety.
Monitors compliance in the WVI Ukraine structural subdivisions with current environmental legislation instructions standards and regulations on environmental protection contributes to reducing the harmful effects of production factors on the life and health of employees.
Develops drafts of prospective and current regulations on environmental protection monitors their implementation.
Conducts an analysis of the fire safety of the WVI Ukraine units develops draft orders instructions and regulations and brings their content to the attention of the WVI employees
Knowledge/Qualifications for the role
Required Professional Experience
Minimum three years experience in the Labor safety.
Required Education training license registration and certification
High school education.
Preferred Knowledge and Qualifications
Oral and written communication skills in English language.
Computer literate and hands-on knowledge of MS Office package with experience of using a computerized Supply Chain System.
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Good understanding of humanitarian industry including influencing individuals and groups.
