The successful candidate is preferred to have a strong conceptual understanding of teaching math and addition they should be familiar with the Next Generation Science Standards. An understanding of effectively interpreting student performance data and creating student action plans is desirable. Understanding of the Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and Understanding by Design (UbD) is strongly preferred but not required. Creation of both lessons and assessments must be aligned to standards-based reporting. Classroom instruction should include a balance of whole-group and small-group learning with a focus on fostering student engagement through active thinking tasks that promote curiosity exploration and deeper understanding. Understanding how to implement the best sources of technology is strongly preferred. Applying a growth mindset mentality for student success is a key attribute along with flexible thinking skills and emotional intelligence. Collaboration with other teachers will also be required.
Qualifications: State of NH Certification required as outlined by the New Hampshire Department of Education.
