This National Guard position is for a HR SPECIALIST (COMPENSATION/RECRUITMENT/PLACEMENT) Position Description Number T5042P01 target grade to T5032P01and is part of the NJJFHQ National Guard.
As a HR SPECIALIST (COMPENSATION/RECRUITMENT/PLACEMENT) GS-0201-9/11 you will:

To qualify for this position applicants must possess a minimum of one year of specialized experience at the GS-07 level or equivalent demonstrating a solid understanding of National Guard missions and federal personnel programs. Candidates should have hands-on experience with personnel programs and Human Resources Information Systems relevant to the role.

If you are a male applicant who was born after 12/31/1959 and are required to register under the Military Selective Service Act the Defense Authorization Act of 1986 requires that you be registered or you are not eligible for appointment in this agency ( position is located within J1 Human Resources Office (HRO) and is advertised exclusively to current onboard federal employees within J1 HRO.
This is a target grade position where the selected incumbent will start at the GS-09 level. The incumbent will gain valuable experience and will have an Individual Development Plan (IDP) in place to facilitate progression to the target grade of GS-11.
NOTE: If the individual selected is currently on a Title 10 or Title 32 tour no action can be taken until he/she is released from tour
