Key Responsibilities
- Own overall purchasing and inventory performance to support production schedules and business objectives
- Lead and develop the Purchasing Manager who oversees purchasing agents and day-to-day procurement activities
- Oversee sourcing supplier selection contract negotiations and supplier performance
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials components MRO and services
- Lead the inventory team and establish clear processes for inventory control accuracy and accountability
- Monitor inventory levels turns and excess/obsolete material; drive continuous improvement
- Own cycle count programs and year-end physical inventory
- Partner with Production Fabrication Engineering Quality and Finance to support manufacturing operations
- Monitor market conditions pricing trends and supply risks; develop mitigation plans as needed
- Ensure purchasing and inventory data accuracy within ERP/MRP systems
- Prepare and review purchasing and inventory reports KPIs and cost-savings initiatives
- Ensure compliance with company policies quality standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications:
- Minimum of high school diploma GED or equivalent. Degree in business preferred.
- At least three years in a position with purchasing responsibilities
- Able to effectively communicate and understand job instructions verbally and written
- Able to perform basic mathematical computations and apply the concepts of fractions and percentages to practical situations
- Experienced defining problems collecting data establishing facts draw valid conclusions and resolve discrepancies in a reasonable amount of time
- Must be proficient quick and comfortable with personal computer navigation and operation
- Advanced knowledge and experience with MS Office
- Experience with MAS90 and Google docs
