London 1-2 Days in Office

Analytics Engineering at Capital On Tap
The Analytics Engineering teams mission is to provide the organisation with seamless access to high-quality observable and well-documented data. We own and evolve our modern data stack including Snowflake dbt and Omni to empower teams from Finance to Commercial with self-serve data tools.

What Youll Be Doing

  • Lead and manage a team of 4-6 Analytics Engineers overseeing hiring performance reviews and career development.
  • Motivate the team remove technical blockers and track performance to ensure delivery accountability.
  • Collaborate with Business Leads to align data strategy with wider business objectives.
  • Stay hands-on in the data stack guiding the team on complex dbt modeling and scalable architecture.
  • Shape data product decisions and establish coding standards to maintain high-quality production-grade data assets.

Were Looking For

  • Proven experience managing and developing engineers including performance management and mentorship.
  • Extensive experience with the modern data stack specifically a cloud data warehouse (e.g. Snowflake BigQuery) - dbt and data observability tools preferable.
  • Expert SQL skills and a deep understanding of scalable data modeling approaches like Kimball.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional projects collaborating effectively with Product Commercial and Engineering.
  • Experience defining and delivering against a team roadmap while balancing tech debt and business priorities.
  • Dedicated to maintaining high code quality through comprehensive testing and robust CI/CD practices.

Interview Process

  • Stage 1: 30 minute intro call with our Talent Partner
  • Stage 2: 45 minute meet the Engineering Manager (hiring manager)
  • Stage 3: 60 minute SQL technical live-coding assessment
  • Stage 4: 60 minute meet the team followed by meet the CTO/CRO
