Position Overview:

The Department of Surgery at Loma Linda University School of Medicine is seeking a fellowship trained breast surgical oncologist to join our team for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor of Surgery. Patients with a wide variety of benign high risk and malignant conditions of the breast are managed in the Loma Linda University Health Breast Health Center and its network of clinics with a full complement of multidisciplinary office procedure and oncoplastic skills are desired. The applicant must have a commitment to research and education and will work closely with medical students residents and fellows. The Department of Surgery currently trains one Complex General Surgical Oncology fellow per year with extensive breast surgical oncology exposure. As there is a large volume of complex benign and malignant breast disease our division plans to establish a Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship in the future. There are ample leadership opportunities in this division.

The Division of Surgical Oncology includes Complex General Surgical Oncology Breast Surgery and Endocrine Surgery faculty in a Commission on Cancer accredited academic cancer program. The Division includes a variety of practice settings including a tertiary academic medical center moving toward NCI designation a safety net hospital and community cancer programs. Candidates must have appropriate board certification and licensure. Women and underrepresented surgeons are encouraged to apply.

Benefits & Compensation

The compensation range listed is for starting base compensation only and is adjusted based upon years of experience and/or faculty rank: $330000 - $350000. This amount does not include variable compensation or extra productivity and is subject to the individual department compensation plans. More information on compensation is discussed with the departments during the recruitment process.
