This position is responsible for performing simple and routine maintenance and repair tasks across a variety of trades including carpentry masonry plumbing painting and electrical work. The work supports the upkeep of park grounds buildings and related utilities.
Salary Range: First-time federal hires are typically appointed at step 1. The listed salary range does not guarantee a higher starting rate.
- Performs a variety of maintenance repair and operational duties on roads trails and maintained landscapes
- Operates heavy riding and push behind lawn mowers string trimmers leaf blowers hand trimmers and other grounds care equipment.
- May operate a refuse collection truck collecting trash from containers and roadsides.
- Perform minor repairs to fences and signs.
- May perform custodial duties.

- Minimum Age Requirement: Applicants must be at least (1) 18 years old or (2) at least 16 years old and: (a) Have graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; or (b) Have completed a formal vocational training program; or (c) Have received a statement from school authorities agreeing with their preference for employment rather than continuing their education; or (d) Be currently enrolled in a secondary school and either work only during school vacation periods or work part-time during the school year under a formal student employment program.
