THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a MANAGEMENT ANALYST Position Description Number Tand is part of the 109TH AW National Guard.
This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants.
As a MANAGEMENT ANALYST GSyou will provide information and analyses to all levels of management using the assessments to answer the why how when and where questions.
Conditions of employment
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a two year trial period.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position within one year of appointment.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
- Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
- Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.
- For positions requiring the operation of motor vehicles candidates must have a valid state drivers license for the state in which they live or are principally employed.
Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience education or training in administrative professional investigative technical or other responsible work which demonstrates analytical ability and a practical and theoretical knowledge of the functions processes and principles of management. Knowledge of the National Guard organizational structures functions procedures and techniques. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Knowledge or experience that is administrative clerical scientific artistic or technical in nature. Experience performing a variety of internal support review and analysis assignments supporting various segments of maintenance management and conducting consulting or advisory services under the direction of a higher graded employee.

The duties and responsibilities of your job may significantly impact the environment. You are responsible to maintain awareness of your environmental responsibilities as dictated by legal and regulatory requirements your organization and its changing mission.
This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for or in response to a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.
This position is indefinite without the potential to convert to permanent. Employees hired under indefinite appointments may not exceed 5 years (consecutive) time with the agency. The applicant selected may be released at any time subject to a 30-day notice and advised of his/her rights and benefits to which entitled. If a permanent employee accepts this indefinite position their tenure will change from permanent to indefinite.
