We offer hybrid working which involves 3 days per weekbeing office/site based.This position is based in ourBristol or Birminghamoffices.
Your Role

As aCivilEngineer in the D&AT practice the successful candidate would have the following responsibilities:
- Supportor lead a small team inthe delivery of technical design work on multi-disciplinary projects following relevant national and project specific design codes and standards and to high-quality levels in areas such asutilities drainage paved and unpaved surfaces access and accessibilityearthworksand constructionlogistics.
- Responsible forinputting and/orpreparingtechnical deliverables such as designreportsspecificationsdrawings calculations and scopes of work with defined scope.
- Provide technical input into project design deliverables forCivilaspects of multi-disciplinary projects and work with theCivilteam leadtorecommendinput into overall project milestones andprogrammes.
- Collaborate with immediateCivilengineeringteam multi-disciplinary project teams and other relatedAtkinsRéalisteams on delivery of various size engineering design deliverables and projects.
- Work independently with moderate technical technical experience andjudgement to solvedesignproblems whereappropriateandprovideinformalguidance to junior team members.
- Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
- Adhere to quality assurance standards in design including check of own work as well as others.
About you
- Adegree inCivilEngineeringor equivalent.
- Charteredor IncorporatedCivilEngineer.
- Proven experience indelivery oftechnical design work as part of aCivilengineering design delivery teamfor adesign consultancy.
- Takesbroadperspective toidentifyinnovative solutions to design problems.
- Requires broad knowledge and practical experience inexternal works such as drainage utilitiespavementsand earthworks.
- Practical knowledge of current design codes and standards as well as industry best practices including CDM Regulations.
- Ability to work independently with moderate technical guidance.
- Proficiencyin applicable analytical software and related tools such asCauseway FlowInfoDrainageand Civil3D.
- Experience intheEnergy orDefencemarkets is beneficial but not.
- Demonstratesstrong communicationskills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly and effectively within diverse multi-disciplinary teams.
- A proactive highly motivated mindset with a collaborative approach to drive teamwork andsharedsuccess across projects.
