Role Overview

The Senior QA Engineer will be responsible for leading and executing all phases of testing across multiple projects and releases. This includes smoke/build verification sprint testing integration testing end-to-end testing business testing support deployment-order testing and PAT phases. The role requires strong expertise in API testing automation development and functional testing with the ability to collaborate closely with technology teams test leads and business stakeholders.

This position demands an engineering mindset strong problemsolving abilities and experience within payments/wires domain environments.

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Execution

Perform fullcycle testing activities including smoke testing sprint testing integration testing endtoend testing PAT and deployment order testing.

Review system requirements design documents and technical user stories to define comprehensive test coverage.

Create execute and document detailed and accurate test cases.

Define test data environment needs and support setup activities for successful testing cycles.

Support business teams during UAT phases as needed.

Automation Development

Design maintain and execute automation test scripts for APIs services and endtoend workflows.

Develop and maintain automation frameworks using:

RestAssured

Selenium

Java (Core Java)

Maven

Cucumber

JUnit / TestNG

Perform API testing using tools such as SOATest SOAP UI ReadyAPI and Postman.

Defect Management & Collaboration

Participate in daily defect triage calls and ensure defects are documented tracked and retested in a timely manner.

Provide troubleshooting assistance to technical teams and support integration issues.

Support test leads with effort estimations test planning and adherence to testing standards.

Performance Testing Support

(Optional) Create debug execute and maintain performance testing scripts using various performance testing tools.

Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement

Follow technology delivery practices testing standards and project management disciplines.

Maintain high-quality documentation across test cases test evidence and automation artifacts.

Enhance knowledge in testing technologies automation frameworks and domain expertise.

810 years of hands-on experience in functional testing automation development and API validation.

Required Skills:

Essential Skills: Work with project teams throughout the organization to design implement and manage CDN infrastructure using Akamai to ensure high availability performance and scalability for customer facing applications and business processes. Handle multiple priorities and assignments with excellence and precision. Be a part of a 24/7/365 organization (some after hours support is expected as part of normal on-call rotation). Directly support line of business development teams provide guidance to them on implementation and changes for customer facing applications Develop and maintain security protocols and measures to protect CDN infrastructure from cyber threats. Monitor and analyze network performance identifying and resolving issues to optimize content delivery of critical applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Akamai CDN solutions with existing systems and applications. Collaborate with information security teams to implement DDoS protection strategies and other security measures in the CDN. Provide technical support and guidance to clients and internal teams regarding CDN and security best practices. Work closely with vendor and professional service teams on delivery related activities and strategy. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field. OR similar work experience. Strong understanding of network protocols (HTTP/HTTPS DNS TCP/IP). Proven experience as a CDN Engineer or similar role with a strong focus on -depth knowledge of Content Delivery Network technologies including caching load balancing and content optimization. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Experience supporting 24/7/365 customer facing applications at enterprise scale. Awareness and experience with cybersecurity tools and practices such as firewalls intrusion detection/prevention systems and encryption. Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g. Python Bash) a plus. Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP CEH) are a plus but not required.
