The PVAHCS Medical Center is in need of an Interventional Cardiologist in cardiology services five days per week with rotating weekend coverage and evening and weekend call when necessary. Clinic services are required five days per week which includes patient examinations patient education for procedure preparation contacting patients with procedure results and consult triaging. Cardiac Catheterization Lab services are required five days per week. However in emergent situations evening and weekends procedures may be necessary.
All medical record documentation will be done in the Computer Patient Record System (CPRS). Patients include all conditions and diseases relating to cardiology specialty. The Interventional Cardiologist must be board certified in Interventional Cardiology. The Interventional Cardiologist is required to be credentialed and privileged at the Phoenix VA Health Care System and abides by the rules and bylaws of the medical staff.
The Interventional Cardiologist Will have Responsibility for But Not Limited To:
Work Schedule: 8:00AM-4:30PM Monday through Friday (Rotating weekend coverage and evening and weekend call when necessary)
To qualify for this position you must meet the basic requirements as well as any additional requirements (if applicable) listed in the job announcement. Currently employed physician(s) in VA who met the requirements for appointment under the previous qualification standard at the time of their initial appointment are deemed to have met the basic requirements of the occupation.
