The Orlando VA Healthcare Systems Pathology & Lab Service is seeking an experienced and dynamic Pathologist. Ideal applicants are those who want to contribute to the achievement of quality care standards as well as the growth and development of a VA academic hospital program. The Orlando VA provides you with health care services at 11 locations serving east central Florida. Facilities include our Orlando VA Medical Center and 11 community-based outpatient clinics in Clermont Daytona Beach Deltona Kissimmee Orlando Palm Bay Port Orange Tavares Viera and Winter Park.

Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): An incentive is authorized
Pay: Competitive salary annual performance bonus regular salary increases

The candidate is a well-rounded pathologist with AP/CP board certification as well as training and/or experience in either ONE of the following three specialties:
1) Pathologist fellowship trained in Surgical Pathology. Preference for candidates trained and/or experienced in Head & Neck Pathologyand/or Pulmonary Pathology.
2) Pathologist fellowship trained in Cytopathology with GYN and non-GYN cytology experience. Ultrasound-guided FNA biopsy experience is required.
3) Pathologist fellowship trained and board certified in Molecular Pathology experienced in the interpretation of various molecular assays. May assist in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Services as needed.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-430pm (Note: Work schedules are determined and approved by the supervisor. The incumbent may be required to work various shifts on a permanent or temporary basis based on facility/patient care needs).

Currently employed physician(s) in VA who met the requirements for appointment under the previous qualification standard at the time of their initial appointment are deemed to have met the basic requirements of the occupation.
