This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted position for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST Position Description Number PDD1233P02 and is part of the SC DOL South Carolina Army National Guard.
This position is located at the JFHQ-State Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics (DCSLOG) (G4/J4) Sustainment Automation Support Management Office (SASMO). The primary purpose of this position is to provide support to Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs to all state/territory activities/organizations and perform a wide range of specialized methods/techniques for planning; analyzing and identifying problems in order to develop and implement resolutions to administrative and systemic programs throughout the organization.
Work involves performing or supervising staff work in planning and coordinating logistical support activities to provide the money manpower material facilities and services needed to support a specified mission at the time and place they are needed.
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION OPEN TO THE FOLLOWING AREA OF CONSIDERATION (AOC):
Area of Consideration: This position is open to Area 1 Only.
Area 1: Current employees of the South Carolina Army National Guard (Tenure 1 and 2)
Area 2: Current members of the South Carolina Army National Guard
Area 3: Any individual eligible for membership in the South Carolina Army National Guard
GENERAL EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Experience education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 1-year specialized experience education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have experience education or training which involved detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e. supply maintenance quality assurance facilities). Experience planning and organizing work assignments.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES:
Incumbent is subject to uncommon tours of duty rotational shift assignments and overtime duty for which compensatory time off will be granted. May be required to fly in military or commercial aircraft for TDY purposes.

2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
3. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
4. May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; overtime may be required.

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelors degree in an accredited college or university meets the GS-5 level requirements.
