This position is located at MWR Bowl Arena Lanes.

Duties

  • Cleans up rooms halls flights of stairs and different territories. Along with mopping and vacuuming.
  • Uses and maintains mechanical equipment to clean rugs drapes etc.
  • Cleans disinfects and deodorizes toilet facilities dusts assigned areas and empties trash.
  • Washes walls windows blinds and ceiling fixtures using ladders scaffolds and safety belt.
  • Maintains stock of room and cleaning supplies to perform assigned duties.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Appointment subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3 para.2.
  • Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
  • Must meet physical requirements of the position. Successful completion of a pre-employment physical is required.
  • Physical Effort: Required standing and walking on hard and carpeted surfaces with some bending lifting carrying pushing and pulling of items or carts weighing up to 20 to 40 pounds and occasionally over 50 pounds.
  • Working Conditions: Exposure to dirt and disagreeable odors vibration from use of heavy equipment and to skin irritations from strong cleaning solutions.
  • Must be able to work a schedule that may include working some nights weekends and possible holidays.

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
1. Must have knowledge skills and ability to perform the duties listed above to include the ability to use and maintain the tools and equipment of the trade and to keep the assigned work area neat and clean.
2. Must be able to communicate both orally and in writing.

This announcement is in conjunction with the JBLM NAF HR Office Job Fair at the Eagle Pride Golf Course Dupont WA on Tuesday 03 February 2026 from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Applicants participating in the event will receive first consideration.

Allowances and Differentials
  • This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time regular part-time and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances cost of living (COLA) and differentials will not be paid contingent upon eligibility.
