Job Summary

Summary

You will serve as a Supervisory IT Specialist (Policy and Planning) in the IT Division S6 Department of MCAS BEAUFORT SC.


Duties

  • You will supervise the daily performance of IT personnel to include Marines Civil Service personnel and contractors.
  • You will develop a variety of correspondence (e.g. command orders directives standard operating procedures reports briefing point papers positions paper and talking papers etc.)
  • You will maintain lines of communication with other installations G6/S6 staffs throughout the Marine Corps.
  • You will plan and perform all functions for the delivery of network services throughout the region by developing project Plans of Action and Milestone timelines budgetary requirement system/network resources usage policies and procedures.
  • You will provide direction guidance and develop policy for local telecommunication network and system operating units centers or network control facilities.

  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position work role code IT Project Manager proficiency level advance the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final SECRET clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level III certification.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Developing policy related to local telecommunication network and system operating units centers or network control facilities; AND managing short- and long-range planning efforts to accomplish the organizations mission goals and objectives.

Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas:

  3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example technical sensitive controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others attends to nonverbal cues and responds appropriately.
  4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives and to make recommendations.
