Position SummaryCHOC Specialists is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Pediatric Nephrologist to join a close-knit 5-physician division. The call schedule and work environment are well balanced with excellent support from experienced colleagues and hospital Provide inpatient consultation services for medical/surgical units PICU NICU CVICU and oncology teams Provide acute inpatient dialysis Attend outpatient clinics including multidisciplinary nephrology clinics and outreach clinics in Newport Beach Irvine Mission Viejo Corona and Whittier Participate in rheumatology/nephrology tuberous sclerosis fetal center and TMA multidisciplinary clinics Contribute to the development of our new pediatric chronic dialysis unit which is the only pediatric dialysis unit in Orange County Collaborate with local transplant centers for pre-transplant coordination and continuity Participate in CME activities: pathology/nephrology conference radiology/urology/nephrology conference fetal center conferences grand rounds resident noon conference and community physician presentations Teach and mentor medical students and pediatric residents Engage in clinical research and scholarly activities with opportunity for academic appointment at UC Irvine Participate in CHOC Specialist and hospital committees program development operations and quality improvement initiatives Collaborate with Rady Childrens San Diego colleagues across the unified RCH enterpriseWork EnvironmentAs a Pediatric Nephrologist within CHOC Specialists you will be part of a collaborative mission-driven pediatric subspecialty group comprising more than 350 physicians and advanced practice providers across 24 subspecialties.
