Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Oncology (CWR)
Location: Neptune NJ & Brick NJ
Hours: 40 hours/week
Schedule: 4 10-hour shifts 7:30 AM 6:00 PM
Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) Oncology is responsible for evaluating patients assisting physicians and delivering high-quality patient-centered oncology care. This role involves planning implementing and documenting nursing care based on individual patient needs with a strong focus on evidence-based practice in an inpatient oncology setting.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Evaluate patients and assist physicians with comprehensive patient care
Plan implement and document nursing care based on patient needs and clinical priorities
Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments to identify care needs and priorities
Develop implement and coordinate individualized plans of care
Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage assigned patient care
Document care in accordance with standards of practice patient acuity and clinical guidelines
Advocate for evidence-based care standards and support innovations in care delivery
Provide patient-centric care aligned with professional nursing practice models
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 2 years of acute adult oncology experience specializing in leukemia and lymphoma
Inpatient oncology experience required
Education
Required:
Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN)
Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Certifications & Licensure
Required:
BLS (AHA)
Active New Jersey RN license or multi-state compact license
Preferred:
Telemetry
Chemotherapy Certification (ONS)
