The Armed Forces Recruiting Service (AFRS) will see MOD Serco and their consortium of partners providing a Tri-Service recruiting solution which for the RN will commence on 1 Apr 27. AFRS will provide end to end support from candidate attraction to assessment to preparing to join Phase 1 training. The solution will utilise Service Personnel in high value candidate facing roles in the Command and Support Unit and in recruitment selection Under-Represented Groups outreach and the national career centre.
Unit and Position Role
Unit Function - Deliver Armed Forces Recruitment to maximise optimal inflow of workforce to support delivery of Defence strategic and operational capabilities.
Position Role - Support Serco in the production and communication of information to candidates ensuring they are informed and prepared for assessment and entry.
Responsibilities
- Act as sS OR lead military advisor and deputise for senior roles as required.
- Support Senior Recruiters in nurturing candidates through their recruiting journey from point of application to entry into the Service.
- Engage support and inform candidates through the assessment and entry process by sharing lived experience of Service life.
- Support scoping and production of material for Assessment Centre and entry preparation communications briefs and webinars.
- As directed deliver preparatory briefs and webinars to candidates attending Assessment Centres and for entry into Phase 1 training.
- Ensure that accurate records are maintained for all candidates using appropriate systems.
- Ensure administrative support activities within the Recruiter Candidate Experience team as directed by the HQ AFR.
- Line Management and Reporting Officer responsibilities.
Local Considerations
Domestic - his post will be located at the NRC in Solihull. Occasional travel is expected. The role will lend itself to a degree of flexible working.
