Incentives and Bonuses
- Incentives will Not be paid.
- Prepares food by peeling chopping grinding paring cutting slicing dicing pureeing dredging flouring or breading.
- Operates a variety of kitchen equipment using gas electricity steam or microwave heat sources. Disassembles cleans and assembles component parts and accessories following safety procedures to avoid personal injury and damage to the equipment.
- Cleans stores and maintains all equipment and work areas after each use. Follows established sanitation procedures when handling food.
- Ensures that foods are stored at the correct temperatures to prevent bacteria growth.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Conditions of employment
- Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
- Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
- A one-year probationary period may be required.
- Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
- Satisfactory completion of a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation/safety training within 30 days of employment; minimum of 4 hours refresher training required annually.
- Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3 para. 2 to include a medical examination.
- Incumbent may be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to Federally controlled facilities
- Must meet age requirement of 18 years or older at time of appointment.
- Must be able and willing to work a schedule that may include nights weekends and holiday
- Physical and health assessment are required.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Work experience in preparing foods and cooking simple foods and short orders in a cafeteria restaurant or mess.

c. Ability to work under pressure.

- This job falls under the Federal Wage Schedule (FWS) pay system. FWS employees earn overtime pay for working more than 8 hours in a day or more than 40 hours in a week -- whichever gives the employee more benefit. Regular full-time regular part-time and regularly scheduled flexible employees may receive Sunday premium pay for working on Sundays. Employees may also be eligible to receive extra pay if the majority of their scheduled hours falls after 3:00 PM.
- Non-foreign overseas allowances cost of living (COLA) and differentials will not be paid contingent upon eligibility.
