The Role
The ABC is looking for a Front-Page Editor to curate engaging content for the ABC News website and app using your editorial instincts to spotlight what matters most while building strong relationships across diverse teams.
The Job
- Curate and edit the ABC News front page showcasing top stories and features.
- Use data and editorial experience to meet audience needs
- Test refine and optimise front-page placementfor mobile app and desktop audiences.
- Collaborate across teams to refine presentation and strategy.
- Guide best practices in headlines and story promotion.
- Work with Technology teams to improve audience experience.
- Stay across audience insights trends and diversity in storytelling.

About You
Youll have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in digital news.
- Strong experience creating engaging digital-first content across platforms.
- Advanced digital skills including publishing systems and analytics tools.
- Deep understanding of online news presentation and social media.
- Proven teamwork and composure in fast-paced breaking news environments.
- Passion for telling diverse Australian stories and maintaining broad community connections.
