Job Summary

Position Overview:

Applications are invited for a number of seasonal positions of Parks/Engineering Worker in Parks Recreation and Culture and Public Works Departments.

These are Labourer type positions that consist of full-time hours from May 19to October 9 2026.

These positions will be utilized in various work units that require seasonal outdoor work such as:

RoadwaysSanitationSign ShopParks andGolf Course.

Required Qualifications:

Grade 12 or equivalent.
Drivers License.
Previous experience with a variety of construction maintenance and repair operations.
Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.
Ability to perform light and/or heavy manual labouring tasks.
Ability to operate small hand tools and motorized equipment efficiently.
Training in WHMIS and Surveying experience would be an asset.

WAGE $21.67 per hour

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

-Perform a variety of tasks in construction maintenance and repair operations including:

-shovel work such as digging shovelling gravel asphalt and sand
-grasscutting duties string trimming ball diamond and golf course maintenance
-garbage and yard waste pick up
-side walk and line painting.
-loading and unloading material
-Perform both light and heavy manual labouring tasks.
